All you can responsibly drink for $50!
Get a taste of the region’s local fall and winter craft brews in Halloween-style at the Nugget Casino Resort’s Brews & Boos Beer Festival. This first-time event will offer tastes of dozens of delicious brews, as event-goers enjoy the sounds of the classic rock cover band Snake Oil Sinners. This exciting event debuts at the Nugget Casino Resort on the evening before Halloween, Friday, October 30, 2015.
“Brews & Boos Beer Festival is geared toward the beer enthusiast who wants to have a great time,” said Lisa Jansen, director of special events and entertainment at the Nugget Casino Resort. “The Nugget is well-known for spectacular special events and this Halloween season, we’re going for spooktacular.”
Adding to the event’s ambiance, attendees will enjoy seeing the brewers get into the Halloween spirit with costumes and Halloween-themed booths.
“If you have never been served a beer by a ghost or a werewolf, now is your chance,” said Jansen.
Attendees are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes for a chance to win great prizes!
Brews & Boos’ featured entertainment will also be in costume for the event. The Snake Oil Sinners will time warp you to a live ultimate rock show, performing everyone’s favorite hair rock, melodic rock, metal and classic rock songs from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s. Their show is interactive and completely themed in the genre, right down to the wigs, makeup and costumes.
But they’re not just a cover band. The Snake Oil Sinners have toured the world as members of the bands Harlequin and Prism. They’re ready to perform the music of Def Leppard, Queen, Ozzy, Aerosmith, Guns & Roses, Zeppelin, Journey and more.
The Nugget Casino Resort is encouraging everyone who attends to get home safely by offering discounted “take-the-elevator-home” room deals starting at just $59.
Doors will open up early for guests with VIP tickets. VIP ticket holders will have the opportunity to sample the beers before those with a general admission ticket, and they’ll also have the chance to talk with the brewers about their craft brews before the event gets busy.
“For the home-brewers, a VIP ticket means a chance to learn secrets from the pros,” said Jansen. “Brewers will be ready to share information about their special fall and winter ales and brews, including how to use seasonal ingredients.”
Doors open at 7 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 8 p.m. for general admission ticket holders.
VIP tickets are $65 and general admission tickets are $50.
(Plus Entertainment Tax and Venue Fee).
Those who attend will be able to sample brews from a free commemorative cup.
Guests must be 21 or over.
“We’re telling everyone to get their tickets early, because ticket prices increase by $10 on the day of the event,” said Jansen.
